Are you afraid of dentists, are you worried before going to the clinic, and fear makes you postpone treatment, losing the health of your teeth?
In the dental center Aesthetics, sleep treatment is a safe and comfortable procedure:
– we have more than ten years of experience in treating children and adults;
– modern drugs make it possible to carry out general anesthesia only for the duration of the procedure, they are very quickly excreted from the body and are not addictive;
– the use of modern “smart” devices makes it possible to fully control breathing, cardiac activity and pain processes in the body during the procedure;
– a professional team of anesthesiologists works, which will select the best method of pain relief for you, depending on your condition and treatment plan (general anesthesia or sedation);
Sleep therapy is a stress-free way to solve a problem.
Frequently Asked Questions
First and foremost, for people who value their time. Because a larger volume of work can be completed at once while the patient is asleep, the number of dental visits is reduced, saving both time and energy. This is especially convenient for out-of-town patients.
Additionally, there is no psychological involvement in the process, which prevents the release of cortisol — the stress hormone that impairs healing and increases the likelihood of complications.
The equipment and medications used in modern anesthesiology minimize all possible negative consequences for the body. Our team’s fundamental position is to never compromise on the safety and comfort of the patient. We use only modern monitoring, during which the anesthesiologist constantly monitors breathing, blood pressure, heart rate, and blood oxygen saturation.
The anesthesiologist will offer you or your child a special gas to breathe so that you fall asleep quickly and do not see the preparations for the procedure.
Then, the doctor administers special medications intravenously.
After this, the dentist begins their work and performs all necessary procedures.
Throughout the entire treatment, the anesthesiologist and their team observe and monitor the patient's general condition.
At most an hour after the treatment is finished, the patient fully regains consciousness and can return to their daily activities the very next day.
On the day the procedure is completed, you must refrain from driving and it is recommended to maintain rest.
Sedation (from Latin sedatio – to calm) or "medical sleep" is a procedure aimed at calming and relaxing the patient during treatment.
Sedation combined with local anesthesia is an alternative to general anesthesia.
During sedation, the patient is in a semi-sleep state; all vital reflexes are maintained, and they respond appropriately to the doctor's requests.
Treatment under general anesthesia is indicated for:
- children with multiple complicated cavities;
- children who are terrified of dentists;
- children with obstructed nasal breathing (presence of adenoids);
- children with an allergic reaction to local anesthesia, or a history of anaphylactic shock or Quincke's edema;
- children with CNS disorders, epilepsy, and autism;
- adults with a large volume of surgical and restorative procedures (extractions, implantation, treatment of multiple cavities, etc.)
